[ A MESSAGE FROM THE RABBIT BEHIND THE SCENES : SIXTH DAY OF OCTOBER ]

SO, it has been over a year since the last update here at news central!
Bluesanct went into a little hibernation, as did I in general.
In December, I went to Ghent for a month to record material for the new Drekka album at MORC HQ... good times was had by all, a micro-indie label mega-jam took place... as did a nice show with Drekka, Karina ESP, Annelies and Jessica Bailiff.
In May, I went out with Nathan and Nathan for a rivulets European excursion, which included meeting up with the inimitable Francesco Candura, of Stop the Wheel, to play bass for rivs... again, a good time was had by all... the toll people in Italy will rue the day they heard of rivulets... and an audio journal CDr will come out sometime this year to document it.
Other than that, I have been managing a record store, TDs CDs and LPs, here in Bloomington. I post a weekly blog of what we get in and stuff, so BE OUR FRIEND at OurSpace. We also do mail order, if there is anything you want from us.
So, laying low and not really focusing on the label... UNTIL I heard CAETHUA! Clare Hubbard moved here a few months ago, and her music is perfectly Day2 and Bluesanct in every way. And her enthusiasm and support have really got me going again. I even played a show the other night!
CAETHUA's debut CD, 'Village of the Damned', is out now on Bluesanct in the CATALOGUE. We have a second one coming hot on it's heels... so get hooked and come back for more. Check out some songs over at OurSpace
I am also in the process of having the third in our art vinyl series mastered. It is by one of my all-time favourite artists and a major inspiration on my own music, pretty much informing much of what I hope to accomplish one day. CINDYTALK is a very important band for me, and I am very thrilled to be doing a 10" for their new song, 'Silver Shoals of Light'
Beyond that, we have a new label sampler which will include all unreleased material by most of the current band roster. It is called 'Twelve-foot Wize: ten years of making friends' and the artwork was done by my good friend and seven year old genius, Lorca V Strand.
But, that's not even all! (I know, right?!) I am currently making a second batch of the impossibly limited VERJAARDAG 3"EP, featuring four DREKKA produced mixes of new songs by ANNELIES MONSERE, including an alternate mix of the REMORA cover we did in December... that will be available next week, even! AND... (yes, I know... you can't believe there is even more...) I begun plans to finish up the new DREKKA album, 'Tarwestraat'... the follow-up to 'Extractioning' and the first all-new full-length DREKKA recording since the oughts started.
Whoa, that is a lot... so, yeah... start with the CAETHUA and try to keep up with us...

Latest Bluesanct artist, Caethua alternated between female fronted Bluesanctian folk songs and incredible atmospheric sound collages. Clare of Caethua has brought Bluesanct out of it's slumber, and her music fits perfectly with the rest of the Day2 Alliance family. If you like anything else on Bluesanct, you will LOVE this one!
