HENRY BLOOD is the next generation of Bluesanct... son of DARRYL BLOOD (Tiltmaster), HENRY takes cues more from his uncle DREKKA rather than the indie genius of his dad... at 8 MONTHS OLD, he composed and performed these intuitive pieces for piano and synth... plaintive passages reminiscent of Cage or Reich, with a slightly somber overtone of Harold Budd.

CAETHUA - I may be gone for a long, long time LP (SAXWAND3, $12)
A sort of vinyl companion to the Bluesanct release, 'Village of the Damned'. A cold marriages of growing up in the snow covered cornfields of upstate New York, moldy nylon-stringed guitars, a hissing blend of flea market electronics, rusted pots and pans, field recordings of a doomed boat trip down the St. Lawrence River, birds in the ice covered trees, the groan of an overheating diesel engine, shortwave radio in the middle of nowhere. Swirled colored vinyl, released on Saxwand/Friends & Relatives.

CIRCLE BROS - You'll be missed 3"CDR (ORPHAN00C, $7)
Morc Records head and Drekka collaborator releases a sort of prelude to his upcoming full-length on Morc. Hazy guitar and drone songs that bring to mind the best of the post C-86 New Zealand lo-fi scene heavies like Roy Montgomery or Dissolve, or some of the newer space explorers like Growing or Belong. Excellent stuff in it's own right with more to come.

Belgian import cassette from MORC. Circle Brothers is the work of Wim, who runs Morc. Probably the last instrumental release by this singer-improviser. Might be of interest for fans of Azusa Plane, Windy and Carl, Growing, Drekka, Karina ESP and Roy Montgomery.

DREKKA - Ancestral Cave Sequence CS (DLTD113, $7)
Last January, Drekka did a multimedia performance with friends Nathan Vollmar and Andrew Perry Davis; a sculpture exhibit with an accompanying film. Drekka did a series of live improvised soundtracks to the film on the opening night. This release is limited to 80 copies, and contains 42min of sound collage from the exhibition. The concept behind the pieces were to use tapes of friends performing Drekka songs and create a stream-of-conciousness dream poetry. The results produced one of the most focused and emotional sets by Drekka to date.
